Where The Warden fits in the buy tree
Before Patch 13.06, the rifle slot had a clear two-tier system: Guardian for economy rounds, Vandal for full buys. The Warden introduces a middle option that trades the Vandal's one-tap potential for a more forgiving recoil pattern and a lower price point.
The design intent is to give players a viable rifle on rounds 2–3 of a half, where previously you were choosing between a Guardian and saving for the next round. The Warden lets you put a rifle in hand without sacrificing your next-round economy entirely.
Recoil comparison
The Warden's recoil is predominantly vertical for the first 10 rounds, making it the easiest rifle in the game to control for new players. After round 10, it shifts right with increasing horizontal variance. This makes it strong for controlled bursts at 15–25 metres but unreliable for full magazine sprays at range.
Compared to the Vandal, The Warden's first-bullet accuracy is identical but subsequent bullets climb faster. Compared to the Guardian, The Warden trades tap-fire precision for spray forgiveness.
People also ask
- What is The Warden's price?
- The Warden sits between the Guardian and the Vandal. It is designed as a round 2-3 buy option when you cannot afford a full Vandal buy.
- Does The Warden one-tap like the Vandal?
- No. The Warden requires two headshots or a headshot plus body shot for a kill. Its niche is consistency over burst.
- Is The Warden better than the Guardian?
- They fill different roles. The Guardian rewards tap-fire precision at range; The Warden is a short-to-mid-range spray weapon with forgiving recoil.
